Joseph Farrell, DO

Sports Medicine

Dr. Joseph (Jef) Farrell is the senior partner of Reconstructive Orthopedics. He is a native of Mount Holly, New Jersey, and a graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School. His undergraduate degree in Biology was obtained through Villanova University. As a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Farrell completed his internship and orthopedic residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. where he was chief resident and an anatomy instructor. An interest in sports-related injuries grew from his four years at Fort Dix, New Jersey where he was the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery. Subsequently, he obtained his fellowship in Sports Medicine while working with Dr. Jay Cox (President of the American Society of Sports Medicine) in Arlington, Virginia. Dr. Farrell has practiced orthopedics in this area since 1983. His other passions, including his family and his five grandchildren, remain teaching and tennis. Dr. Farrell remains a compassionate, genteel physician who has always put the needs of any patient before his own.
